Marangu Route

The Marangu Route is one of Kilimanjaro’s most popular and scenic trails, ascending the southeastern slopes of the mountain. It passes through lush rainforest, heath, and alpine desert zones, offering varied and stunning landscapes. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” it provides hut accommodations along the way, making it a comfortable choice for trekkers. With a steady ascent that supports good acclimatization, Marangu is ideal for those seeking a well-supported, scenic, and rewarding climb to Africa’s highest peak.
