Tour Overview

The 6-Day Marangu Route is one of the most popular and established routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. Often referred to as the "Coca-Cola Route," it is the only route on the mountain that offers accommodation in mountain huts instead of tents, making it an attractive option for climbers seeking additional comfort during their trek.
The 6-day itinerary includes an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, significantly improving summit success rates compared to the standard 5-day Marangu Route. The route passes through diverse ecological zones, including lush rainforest, heath and moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
Perfect for climbers seeking comfortable hut accommodation, a well-established trail, and improved acclimatization, the 6-Day Marangu Route remains one of the most successful ways to reach the Roof of Africa.
